Before You Begin:

Be sure to contact your local zoning department to make sure that you are eligible for licensing your home for a Child Care business.

First Steps

  • Register with the Secretary of State

    Choose if you would like to register as a Limited Liability Corporation (LLC) or Sole Proprietorship

  • Establish a Federal Employer ID Number

    Some opportunities for your business require an EIN and families will request this for tax purposes.
